3-month Internship Program

Position

Media (broadcasting) internship. Gain insight on how a commercial-community radio operates in Australia. Assist on all-round media tasks and provide broadcasting services for Chinese audiences.

Program structure

Length:

3 months (equivalent to 460 hours)

Periods:

Stage 1 (2-4 weeks)

  • Mock voice recording/production Program editing
  • Program show participation (in talk shows or interviews)
  • Weekly review and monthly assessment before moving onto stage III

    • Stage 2 (4 weeks)

  • Mock voice recording/production Program editing
  • Program show participation (in talk shows or interviews)
  • Weekly review and monthly assessment before moving onto stage III

    • Stage 3 (4 weeks)

  • Creative production
  • Media/ information analysis
  • Mixer operation
  • Program hosting
  • Final assessment before completing the internship program

    • Instructor(s) and supports:

  • Senior admins
  • Radio hosts
  • On-going Q&A support
  • Weekly discussion on progress

    • Opportunities & outcomes

  • Training on news writing and translating
  • Learn holistic approach on program production
  • Gain critical thinking and public speaking skills
  • Proof of effort – Upon successful completion of the program, you will receive E-Certificate and Completion Letter for your contribution and achievement

    • Candidates we are looking for

  • Media students preferred, but not mandatory
  • Mandarin or Cantonese native speaker
  • Great learning attitude
  • Strong attention to details
